Two new male groups will debut under Pledis Entertainment next year

Han Sung Soo, the CEO of Pledis Entertainment, recently sat down for an interview Hankyung News and revealed that there are plans to debut two new male groups in 2012. Pledis Entertainment currently houses Son Dambi and After School, and it looks like they plan on making the family larger. The two five member male groups are tentatively titled “New East” and “Tempest”, and are currently preparing for their debut next year. Pledis searches for talents not only in South Korea, but also in other Asian countries and the U.S. as well. During their recent audition in Los Angeles, they found four ‘hidden talents’, all of which they took in as Pledis trainees. Although there were no mentions of the highly anticipated male counterpart of After School, “After School Boys”, it seems their debut date is not too far away as a few of the members recently starred in a CF for New Balance. Han Sung Soo is constantly searching for new ideas to differentiate his idols from others and has been collaborating with Swedish producers to give “birth (to) creative music“.
