MBLAQ’s Mir Transforms Into One Piece’s Luffy

It’s Luffy! No…it’s MIR! On March 29th, MBLAQ’s G.O. (@MBLAQGO) updated his twitter account with the above picture and the message “rubber rubber gun”. In the photo, you can see Mir ready to fight in his Luffy (One Piece) cosplay outfit!

The outfit has the red shirt, straw hat, and blue pants complete with white fuzziness at the bottom. Looks like he could just hop right into the anime, doesn’t it?

MBLAQ is currently preparing for their overseas activities now that their Korean promotions have come to an end.

MBLAQ Is Studying Hard During Their Break

MBLAQ is currently getting some rest after concluding their Korean promotions, during their break the guys are focusing on their studies before they jump into their next set of promotions.

J.Tune Camp recently revealed pictures of Lee Joon and Seungho studying. The MBLAQ members wrote, “You can stop worrying about us a bit! Until we return, please do not let your eyes wander, and we hope all of our A+ can become studious students like us.”

Seungho and Lee Joon are currently studying Information & Communications at Kyunghee Cyber University. To keep up with their lectures, the guys have been carrying their laptops around with them in order to watch the lectures online.

In a statement released by J. Tune Camp, they stated “We have always adjusted plans for their activities, accommodating unexpected circumstances, but in the last half of the year, we want to make sure the boys will be taking enough time off to take care of their health, grow as individuals, and also take time to study.”

Aww they’re such good students. Look at them working hard.

Korean Drama ‘Dream High’ to be Remade into Japanese Musical

Korean Drama, “Dream High” will be remade into a Japanese musical. The musical will be playing at New National Theater in Tokyo from July 3rd to July 20th. Masuda Tetsuharu directed and choreographed, “Dream High”, while Kuzuki Akira wrote the script, and Kamimura Shuuhei composed the music. The role of ‘Song Sam Doong’ will be played by Matsushita Yuya, while the role of ‘Go Hye Mi’ will be played by BRIGHT’s NANAKA. ‘Jin Guk’ will be played by Mizuda Kouki, ‘Jason’ will be played by Joey (Tee), ‘Yoon Baek Hee’ will be played by JURIAN BEAT CRISIS’s Kawakami Juria, and ‘Kim Pil Sook’ will be played by Anna Santos. *pnish*’s Tsuchiya Yuuichi will play ‘Kang Oh Hyuk’, and MAX’s NANA will play ‘Shi Kyung Jin’. The tickets will be available for sale starting on May 27th, for $65-$75.
Seeing as Matsushita Yuya will in the musical, I think the musical will be pretty good. I love `Dream High’ and I hope this musical will be successful.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk shows off his long & sexy legs

Super Junior’s Leeteuk recently shared a photo of his long and sexy legs. On March 29, Leeteuk shared the above photo and wrote, “I have plenty of time.”
The photo was actually photoshopped by a fan and shows Leeteuk wearing a white robe while putting one of his legs on top of a drawer. Fans compared the photo with Ha Ji Won’s similar pose in MBC’s drama ‘The King 2 Hearts‘.
They wrote, “Leeteuk is so sexy,” “The two stars look a like,” “She is just putting her legs on a desk,” “Leeteuk, you make my heart flutter,” and “That’s funny.”
At least we know those aren’t his real legs, or else the world just isn’t fair to some of us girls.

Jonghyun updates his Twitter with a picture of him from a recent fansign and tweeted, “SHINee Jonghyun’s flaming charisma for the fans at the fansign event! ………………….. keke……You have insulted me………”
Perhaps he did not like to be called by Minho’s nickname, but vain boy, you love holding that album of yours, right?

MBLAQ’s G.O shows off his cooking skills on ‘Hello Baby’

MBLAQ’s G.O cooked a meal for his fellow members and babies on the ‘Hello Baby‘ episode that aired on March 29th.
On the 11th episode of ‘Hello Baby’, the MBLAQ members and three babies decided to throw Dayoung a surprise party for her birthday.
Previously in a press conference, G.O stated, “I’ll learn how to cook for the kids.” In an attempt to keep his promise, G.O cooked a Vietnamese dish specially for Dayoung.
G.O impressed viewers with his cooking and flipping skills all while dancing. However, he should have focused more on the food than looking cool as his food did not taste all that great. Member Mir tasted the dish G.O. made and immediately spit it out, embarrassing G.O. The members then deemed G.O a “fake” chef.
On this episode, Lee Joon charmed female fans with three of his cute gestures, while G.O and Mir participated in a slap-match.

2NE1 doesn’t lose their swagger for the Japanese version of ‘Fire’

‘Fire’ it up with the spunky and fierce ladies of 2NE1 as they prepare to release their first Japanese studio album on March 28th.
Their debut song, Fire, has been made into a Japanese song and their fierceness and boldness that was discovered within this song has remained intact, which is awesome news for BlackJacks indeed. Listen to the song in Japanese. What are your thoughts on it?

Akanishi Jin’s Japan Tour Canceled Because of His Marriage

Looks like Akanishi Jin won’t be embarking on his Japan tour, Japonicana because of his marriage to Kuroki Meisa.
On March 24th, Johnny’s Entertainment revealed that Akanishi would not be holding his tour in April and May because of his marriage to Kuroki Meisa. According to the agency, the cancellation is a penalty because Akanishi “deviated from the rules of etiquette as an adult member of society” and “Akanishi will be responsible for the debt of canceling the tour.”
The debt includes the rental fee for the venues in 5 cities, which will cost Jin several million yen. Luckily tickets had not gone on sale yet, but still that’s a hefty amount of money.
The tour was supposed to hit five different cities for a total of 7 concerts and he would have performed in front of an audience of approximately 70,000 people.
Johnny’s Entertainment has apologized to the public stating, “We deeply apologize for all the trouble he has caused the fans and everyone concerned.”
In addition to the cancellation of Jin’s tour, his wife, Kuroki Meisa has also been penalized because of their marriage as she had to cancel all of her TV and event appearances after the announcement broke.
OH NO! I understand they are not happy with the fact that he got married and didn’t tell them, but cancelling his entire tour?! That’s awful. What do you think of this news?!

SHINee goofs off for the camera with Shim Jaewon

Shim Jaewon was the very kind person to share with us a few bts photos of SHINee’s dance practice and MV shooting for their recent song Sherlock, and he’s back once more with another silly picture of the adorkable boys.
On the set of filming, Shim Jaewon took a picture with the boys and it’s an hilarious photo. First off, you have Onew and Key opening up their mouths as wide as they can. You have Jonghyun and Minho charismatically smiling in the background. And last but not least, poor Taemin struggles to get himself into the picture.

INFINITE Caught Jang Nara’s Eye

Jang Nara finally made her comeback after four years with the song, “I Only Think of You“. The singer admitted to liking INFINITE in an interview, “These days a lot of idols came out, their talents are also outstanding. Among them, Infinite caught my attention”. She explained further, “When you watch Infinite’s performances they’re always full of energy. I like this manly image.”

I completely agree with her. INFINITE is very powerful and manly on stage, and then off camera, they are goofy and hilarious. Good choice, Jang Nara!

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun is ready to fly you in the skies

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun has been laying low for a bit as he prepares for his musical role in Catch Me if You Can and to make you eagerly await the maknae, the musical has revealed a new poster of Kyuhyun.
Kyuhyun is seen in his pilot uniform and it’s a different picture from what has been previously shared before. An airplane is seen behind Kyuhyun as he stands on the runway and he tips his hat as he is ready to serve you in the skies.

Se7en Heading Overseas Next Month

Se7en has wrapped up his activities in South Korea and now he is looking to promote throughout Asia in April.
YG Entertainment confirmed the news on March 27th saying that Se7en will be releasing a new album in Japan on April 25th and then hold showcase events in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Nagoya and Osaka. After the release, he will be heading off to China and Singapore for promotions as well.
I’m definitely looking forward to his Japanese album! I have to say…I love his music. <3

2PM’s Taecyeon & Nichkhun snap a photo from the set of their latest CF shoot

2PM‘s Taecyeon teased fans about the group’s current activity through a photo shared via his Twitter page. On March 27th, Taecyeon tweeted, “What commercial schedule is 2PM doing now?? The hint is in the picture kekeke.“

VAMPS go on Tour!

Rock band VAMPS announced they will kick off another tour, traveling through 10 cities and playing an astounding 49 shows from June to October.
The tour, VAMPS LIFE 2012, will be the band’s first tour since 2010, and it will kick off at Zepp Sendai on June 12th. The entire month of July, VAMPS will be performing only at Zepp Tokyo before continuing on and ending the tour at Zepp Namba on October 7th. Here are the dates:

TVXQ looks dashing in their new ad for L’Eau de Missha

TVXQ is currently in Japan on a nice concert tour and they recently released their 34th Japanese single, STILL. On top of that, they have released a new ad for fragrance L’Eau de Missha.
The ad is a black and white picture, with the only color seen on the bottles of fragrance. Each member is seen in a spiffy suit and 70’s hairstyle while looking at a beautiful woman, who stands in the middle. It can be interpreted that they are drawn to the scent that she wears.

INFINITE would like to wake you up sweetly

INFINITE has become the new endorsers for Samsung’s latest gadget, the Galaxy Player, and now, they bring some sweet wake-up calls for your ears.
In a few short seconds, each member introduces himself, then proceeds to leave a sweet, yet short message that will help wake you up (Have a good day today as well, because you’re my first). Each member’s personality shone through their individual messages and it will definitely leave you smiling.
It reminds me of SHINee’s wake-up calls for Etude House, but INFINITE, something so soft won’t wake me up!

SHINee’s Jonghyun had to photoshop out his abs for ‘Sherlock’ concept

It’s pretty much a known fact that editors love to photoshop in body parts and make thinner body parts in order to give idols a prettier image, but it’s pretty much a first to completely photoshop something out that is good.
That actually happened to SHINee’s Jonghyun, as he and his members guested on Boom’s Youngstreet Radio and recounted the story behind the group’s concept pictures for Sherlock.
Fans were quite surprised by how much skin was bared for the concept pictures, but the members coolly stated, “All of the members were satisfied with it and we all love it.” Minho then divulged that Jonghyun was the happiest with his concept picture, as “[he] was the one that worked out the most so he looked the most satisfied after checking his album jacket picture.”
However, it looks like working out too much wasn’t a good thing in this situation. When asked about the use of CG effects on the pictures, the group responded, “Instead of just showing our body, we had a concept in mind so we used bright lights to hide any muscles and bring out our body lines. Jonghyun actually had so much muscles that we had to erase them with CG effects. Jonghyun’s body is pretty much like the characters in ‘Dragon Ball’.”
So then you mean that Taemin really isn’t that skinny in real life? And that the members are a little more muscular? That’s very interesting. Using CG effects to do away with anything muscular.

Super Junior’s Shindong Apologizes to Big Bang’s GDragon

No, Super Junior’s Shindong didn’t do anything bad to Big Bang’s GDragon. It’s just that GD has also fallen victim to Shindong’s imitations and he wants to apologize for it. Recently, Shindong posted a humorous picture of himself dressed up in a cute t-shirt, a black hat, a strand of toilet paper hanging from the hat, and a charismatic look on his face. Along with the picture, he wrote,

TVXQ’s Changmin and Super Junior’s Kyuhyun recently enjoyed a date together at longest running group Shinhwa’s comeback concert.

The two maknaes were spotted entering the concert as well as enjoying the concert with the audience. Even while sitting with a crowd of people, the two stood out thanks to their charming good looks.

SHINee Reveals the Dance Only Version of the ‘Sherlock’ MV!

And just when you thought that SM wouldn’t have anymore surprises in store for Shawols. SHINee has already made their comeback with ‘Sherlock‘ and has been leaving fans floored left and right with their live performances. To sing with such intense choreography is a tough task, but SHINee has got it all under control.

The choreography definitely has to be one of SHINee’s most intricate and difficult, in my opinion. Fans only got to see the whole routine after the group performed on music shows, but now a dance only version of the music video has been released!

I’m literally in love with this choreography. Darn you Everysing ad!

FTISLAND goes to ‘Neverland’ in PV teaser

A few days ago, FTISLAND gifted fans with an English version of upcoming Japanese single Neverland and now the group has released the PV teaser of the very same song!
In the 30-second PV teaser, we see Hongki singing his hearts out and the other members rocking out on their instruments. ‘Neverland’ will serve as the theme song for Japanese anime Ozma and be released on April 18th.

Acid Black Cherry reveals PV for ‘Kimi ga Iru Kara’

It was previously announced that Acid Black Cherry revealed their 4th fan present for their fourth anniversary celebration THANKS 4 YOU ABC Dream Cup 2011, a new single release and download. Now, ABC has given fans a PV to go along with the 0th single “Kimi ga Iru Kara.”

“Kimi ga Iru Kara” was written by Yasu before he debuted as a solo artist, so he considers it his 0th single. It had never been previously recorded, as Yasu preferred to perform it only at live shows. Appropriately, the PV features live and backstage clips of ABC.
It’s gorgeous song, so be sure to listen to it.

After seeing the wondrous teaser of the boys playing Sherlock, it’s time for them to hone their detective skills in the MV. Aside from trying to solve a mystery, the boys look quite dashing in their detective outfits and put forth an energetic and powerful dance. As reported earlier, SNSD’s Jessica made a cameo as she was a ’spirit’ leading the boys to find the jewelry, perhaps her own. A cliffhanger at the end!

SHINee’s Onew is preparing for the Japanese tour

Currently, SHINee has just begun promotions for their fourth mini-album Sherlock with the title track of the same name and Onew has left a message for Japanese fans, telling them to be patient as they will be seeing each other soon.
Onew wrote, “Greetings to all official site mobile users. I am Onew, is everyone healthy? (taking good care of themselves?) ^___^ I am very healthy! I am currently preparing to meet all of you! Onew looks quite happy in his selca and he definitely looks well-rested. This was most likely taken during filming for the Sherlock MV and his hair reminds me of his musical days!

Last week, EXO-K graced High Cut in their first ever photoshoot, and now, High Cut takes you behind the scenes for this shoot.
The group members did look a little awkward in their first photoshoot as they seemed to somewhat not know how to pose. Though, Se Hun broke into such a cute smile when Kai lifted his tank top. Wouldn’t you feel just a little awkward if your group member had to take off his shirt in front of the cameras while you stayed fully clothed?

BTOB will make you go ‘Insane’ for them in their debut MV!

On March 22nd, BTOB revealed the music video for one of their two title tracks, “Insane“!
BTOB is a new boy group under Cube Entertainment and consists of Shin Peniel D., Lee Changsub, Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Jung Ilhoon, Yook Sungjae, and Lim Hyunsik. Their debut single includes “Insane,” an upbeat dance track, and a ballad track titled “Imagine“.
The music video for “Insane” features A Pink’s Chorong and showcases the members’ strong dance skills.

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and Donghae party like superstars as your ‘OPPA OPPA’ Japanese MV teaser

Super Junior’s Donghae and Eunhyuk will be taking their superstar status in OPPA OPPA to Japan on April 4th and ahead of the Japanese single release, fans will be able to watch a short preview of the duo’s MV.
A fancam of the segment on Zips surfaced earlier and the MV is of much better quality than that of its Korean counterpart. Instead of just footage from concerts and backstage, the duo will be in a disco club where they will be joined by Sungmin and Shindong.

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and Donghae go around impressing girls as their ‘OPPA OPPA’

Earlier, a brief MV preview for the Japanese version of Super Junior’s Eunhyuk’s and Donghae’s song OPPA OPPA, but your oppas are now ready to party like superstars with many girls in a club!
Avex Network has released the short version of the ‘OPPA OPPA’ MV and it’s a much better MV thus far than from its Korean counterpart. Instead of watching concert footage, fans can now watch the duo interact with fawning girls at a club and be the center of attention. That is, until Sungmin and Shindong upstage the duo.

BIG BANG’s ‘Ego’ is ‘Feeling’ fantastic

At the end of this month, BIG BANG will be releasing the Japanese version of their latest Korean mini-album, Alive, and included in the Japanese version of ‘Alive’ will be two brand new Japanese songs, Ego and Feeling.
Previously, a preview of ‘Feeling’ had been heard, though it was during the announcement of the Transformers anime, in which ‘Feeling’ will be used as a theme song. But thanks to YG x Avex, fans got to hear some new snippets of the brand new songs, albeit in low quality. Check out the previews below!

SHINee’s Sherlock MV to feature SNSD’s Jessica!

After much waiting, SHINee finally released their highly anticipated mini-album, ‘Sherlock,’ digitally on March 19th and in stores on the 21st. However, there is one thing still missing and that’s the release of the music video for their title track, also titled “Sherlock”. Fans will not have to wait much longer as it has been revealed that the MV will finally be released on March 22nd (KST, which means later today!).
Once released, the MV can be found on SMTOWN’s Facebook and YouTube account, as well as Naver Music and several other music websites simultaneously.
The MV for “Sherlock” was directed by Cho Suhyun and was filmed in Namyang-ju. Fans will be able to see a different image of SHINee as the boys will be taking on the roles of detectives in an 1800s-like museum. Be prepared for some very sick choreography as the world class choreographer Tony Tessla, who has worked with Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, and Kylie Minogue, is the mastermind behind their choreography for the song.
It has also been revealed that SNSD’s Jessica will be making an appearance in the MV as the person who leaves them clues for the mystery case.

Another Photo from SHINee’s ‘Sherlock’ MV Set Released

Yet another photo of SHINee on the set of their music video for ‘Sherlock‘ has been released. Unlike the other ones that were just snapped at the spur of the moment, this one is actually an official photo.
In it we can see both the music video set and SHINee’s ‘Sherlock’ fashion. It’s the same clothes as we saw in the video teaser a couple days ago and they’re looking mighty snazzy! The set itself is very pretty, and I’m pretty sure it’s the ‘crime scene’ that these hottie detectives are dealing with.
SHINee is set to hold their comeback stage on M! Countdown on March 22nd with the music video being released later the same day. SNSD’s Jessica will be making an appearance in the video as well.

SHINee is fast approaching its comeback stages, though that MV (at time of writing) is nearly non-existent. Such a troll, SM. Speaking of trolls, SHINee’s very own puppy troll took a new picture of himself and shared it with fans via the group’s official Facebook.
The staff asked fans, “How do you like Jonghyun’s new hair?” In the picture, Jonghyun is shown with a huge grin on his face, his hair tousled and messy. His new haircut makes him look quite young, wouldn’t you agree?

Shinhwa’s Lee Min Woo and Jun Jin Are Ready For ‘The Return’

Shinhwa’s return is not far away, and now Lee Min Woo and Jun Jin are showing that they are ready for their comeback with their teaser photos.
Both members can be found in the orange suits with black top hats with pale lips and smokey eyes giving the guys the look of a vampire.
Shinhwa will be releasing their 10th album “The Return” on March 23rd.

M.I.B. to Appear on ‘W Military Academy’

For the first time since their debut with the song G.D.M., hip hop group M.I.B. will be appearing on a reality TV program. The show will be “W Military Academy“. In the show, the boys will be going through 8 weeks of intense training to become global stars!
Previously in Season 1, the boy band Boyfriend appeared on the show with a fresh image. However for Season 2, M.I.B. members 5ZIC, Kangnam, Cream, and SIMS, have plans to show us a different side to them, as well as promote themselves as a hip hop group.
This will be a great opportunity for them to show their true colors and get their talents showcased. Good luck M.I.B

SHINee will make you broke with five different album covers for ‘Sherlock’!

SHINee released its 4th mini-album Sherlock digitally on March 19th and just a few hours away from the release of the physical album, it appears that there is not one but five different covers for the boys’ mini-album. Ah, just a fitting way for Shawols to become even more broke.
Not only are there different member covers, but the back of each member cover has a different design. Judging from the drawings on the back covers, each back cover represents the members in their own respective covers.
Quite a nice surprise, but honestly, SM, what’s with the different album covers? I think this is karma for me saying that I was quite lucky that SHINee hadn’t released different member covers. Be careful for what you wish for, eh?

CNBLUE’s Jong Hyun Says ‘Hey You’ for His Teaser!

CNBLUE’s return is just around the corner. To get fans excited for their third mini-album “Ear Fun”, the guys have revealed their 2nd teaser with Jong Hyun.

B.A.P may have ended their promotions for ‘Warrior‘ and ‘Secret Love‘, but that won’t stop them from giving us Babies some major eye candy! The group recently participated in a photoshoot with ‘Elle Girl‘ and have stepped away from their usual image for a more softer and fresh one.
They’ve taken on the concept of European princes, complete with intricate head pieces and hairstyles. Another surprise is that some members are wearing shorts! This would be the first time that we’ve ever seen some leg from B.A.P (how awkward did that sound) and to be honest, Zelo’s legs scare me just a tad.
The editor for the magazine commented, “They’re not at all like rookies that debuted just a month ago. They have professional poses and gazes that surprised the staff on set.”
