2 of Japan's biggest artists, Utada Hikaru and ayaka, are currently on hiatus. Web magazine cyzo.com has brought to light rumors of the two's upcoming comebacks.
In 2011, Utada went on indefinite hiatus to give herself a break from work and live her life. However, she revealed via her twitter account that she had installed music software onto her computer, showing fans that she was still active with her creative activities.
A source involved with management revealed that producer Miyake Akira, the man who discovered Utada Hikaru, plans to continue working with the singer under EMI records despite transferring to Pony Canyon last June. Utada is expected to make her comeback in the first half of 2012.
ayaka resigned from avex after her sudden marriage to Mizushima Hiro. However, the same source stated that she has received offered from avex and is secretly recording again. She is rumored to return within the next year.
