Recently, Super Junior’s Siwon showed support to his culture by responding to a fan the proper way to pronounce Kimchi, which created many positive responses from netizens. A Japanese fan tweeted, “ki mu chi 555…” to Siwon and he responded “Not ki mu chi. Kimchi… In Korea, we don’t call kimchi ‘kimuchi’, but kimchi. ^^ It’s not kimuchi, but kimchi.” Due to language differences, “Kimchi” has been popularized as “Kimuchi” in Japan.
