Which idol do you think would look good cross-dressing?

The is a feature in which we pose an Asian entertainment news-related question to Ningin writers and they give us their colorful opinions and thoughts on the matter. Who doesn’t love a good idol crossdresser? We recently asked our writers, “Which idol do you think would look good cross-dressing?” Here’s what some of them had to say. Victoria Huynh: With his soft, milky skin and long, skinny legs, Kevin Woo of U-Kiss would definitely look amazing cross-dressing. As amazing as he looks in regular guy clothes, he looks just as beautiful in girl clothes. As seen on Star King, when Kevin dressed up like a girl and pretended to be SNSD’s Jessica, many were impressed and in awe of how gorgeous he looked. I’m sure he can rock any girl’s wardrobe anytime and still look prettier than that girl. In fact, I’m jealous. Although I do admit, when Kevin lost a game of limbo and had to dress up like a mermaid to a fan meet, he looked a bit awkward. Even Alexander did not approve. However, that was only because they gave him a bad wig and an over-done pink shell bra! I’m sure if they took it more seriously, Kevin would have had all the fishermen swooning over his beauty in a mermaid outfit while sitting on a rock twirling his hair. When Kevin dresses up like a girl, he doesn’t just bring jealousy, he also brings laughter and happiness to his fans. He has this bright aura and open personality that can pull just about anything off. Mercy Chia: As we all know, there are plenty of male idols out there who are pretty enough to look good dressed as a girl. For me, I think Shinee’s beloved maknae, Taemin, is one of them who would fool the most people if he cross-dressed. What first got me convinced was SHINee’s horror story parody on School of Rock, when all of them dressed as girls, and although they could all pretty much pass as a girl, Taemin’s thinner frame and pretty face had me doing a double-take. With the short hair wig and a skirt and fake breasts, I would have mistaken him as a real girl if I didn’t know who he was. Also, in the performance of “Genie” on SBS with Key, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, and MC Mong, he pulled off the dance the best since his long skinny limbs resemble those of the super skinny female idols the most. Don’t get me wrong, though, Taemin also makes one heck of an attractive 18 year old guy! Stefanel Lee: Seeing how a lot of our KPOP idols are just dressing up as the opposite sex, we actually find it quite normal seeing male idols in dresses or skirts. In fact, we would sometimes even call them cute or pretty. With so many idols to choose from, I think the idol that would look best cross-dressing is Infinite’s Sungjong. His slim body and feminine facial features doesn’t only make him look adorable as a girl, but his natural high voice and diva attitude can help him act like one too. I was quite impressed as to how he was able to wear Nana’s Orange Caramel outfit during the Idol Star Dance Battle for “Magic Boy” and how he’s able to dance like a diva whenever girl group songs were played during variety shows. Normally, when idols dress up like girls they would just look cute, but Sungjong actually made me believe that sometimes maybe he could actually be a girl. Thomas Liu: Out of all the idols in the K-Pop industry, I personally think that Yoseob is the best cross-dresser out there. I mean, he has both the appeals of both genders. He can be both masculine and tough, while cute and “pretty” at the same time. Personally, I think it all began when Beast filmed their Mystery “MV” for their MTV show. Ever since then, I have always felt that Yoseob is the definition of cross-dressing. He definitely has the physical appeal of a girl because of his really nice skin and cute look. He can also pull off the tough look, such as when he is promoting Beast’s songs like Soom and Fiction. All in all, I personally feel that Yoseob is THE cross-dresser in the K-Pop industry. And now you all have the floor - do you agree or disagree with the round table? Which idol do you think would make a good crossdresser?
